The world is mourning the loss of Evan Fiore and Kiley Armstrong, two hard-core New Jersey Devils fans who lost their lives in a senseless accident.
As much as it's fun to joke around with your rival organization, this situation goes beyond sports.
Evan and Fiore, and beautiful young couple who were out enjoying a late night Devils game tragically lost their lives on their way home.
Tragic accident strikes Devils fans
According to sources, they were planning on getting married a few years down the line, but now the families of 21-year-old Kiley Armstrong and Evan Fiore, 23, will be holding a joint funeral for the couple.
The two lost their lives together in a crash Friday in Toms River that authorities say was the result of a juvenile driving a vehicle without a license at speeds of up to 118 mph.
As per House of Hockey, both passengers in the back seat, Krista, twin sister of Kiley, and boyfriend Ryan, were badly injured and are in critical condition in the hospital. They, while badly injured, are said to be in good spirits.
The families put out a statement in which they were thankful for all of the support they're receiving from fans, but there still are many fans who are very devastated.
"The Armstrong, Fiore, and Chapman families would like to send our sincerest appreciation and thank for all the love and support to everyone near and far who are behind us during this devastating situation. We have a long road ahead of us, but all of the love and support is giving us the strength to continue. Xoxo."
A Gofundme has been set up to support the families.
