The New York Rangers captain, J.T. Miller, has set a standard for the team. Ahead of the game tomorrow in MSG against their division rivals, the Carolina Hurricanes require them to be present when the game starts.
While the message might sound ambiguous, it's clear to us. Captain Miller
called out his teammates today after practice.
J.T. Miller believes the New York Rangers will need to start the game on time in Madison Square Garden tomorrow.
While "start the game on time" sounds fairly cut and dry, puck drop is at 7:00 P.M., what gives? In hockey-speak, it sounds to me as, he is calling out his teammates for not playing a full 60 minutes of hockey lately.
Even as they've managed to put together three wins on the road, the team has flaws it will need to work on in order to find itself in the playoff race again.
The New York Rangers are 3rd in the Metropolitan Division
The Rangers have found themselves back into a competitive rank in the Metropolitan Division with a record of 6-5-2, and 4-1-0 at home.
Adam Fox leads the team in points with 11 (3-8),
Taylor Raddysh with goals (5), and Adam Fox with assists (8) and (1) power-play assist.
They have the tools needed to be successful this year, but like JT Miller has said, they need to show up to the game on time, ready to go a full 60 minutes.
While Sullivan will need to figure out a way to increase production on the ice, via scoring by committee.
