New York Rangers backup goalie Jonathan Quick set to make his 2024-25 season debut

According to recent reports from Mollie Walker of The New York Post, Jonathan Quick was the first goalie off the ice during this mornings practice, indicating that he will get the start:

Igor Shesterkin has played all three regular season games for the New York Rangers so far, including one against the Detroit Red Wings on Monday night (October 14th).
After the Rangers acquired Quick during the offseason of 2023, he managed to make enough appearances for the organization last season.

The 38-year old backup goalie started in 26 games, recording a record of 18-6-2, along with a 2.62 Goals Against Average and a .911 Save Percentage. Leading to the New York Rangers signing him to a one-year contract extension worth $1.275 million.
The Rangers have agreed to terms with Jonathan Quick on a one-year contract extension.
The goaltender has a 13-5-2 record over 21 games for the Rangers with a 2.45 goals-against average and .916 save percentage.
