New York Rangers Artemi Panarin speaks out about Russia being excluded from the 4 Nations Face-Off
New York Rangers superstar forward makes his feelings well known about his country being snubbed from the 4 Nations Face-Off tournament.
New York Rangers star forward
Artemi Panarin reveals how he truly feels about Russia being one of the notable countries left out of the 4 Nations Face-Off.
Given all the amazingly talented players that come from Russian including several stars such as
Alexander Ovechkin,
Igor Shesterkin,
Nikita Kucherov and of course Artemi Panarin, it's safe to say that Russia would have been a great fit for this tournament.
But unfortunately due to the going conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Russian hockey players were excluded from the 4 Nations Face-Off along with other international sporting events.
«It's pretty sad, cause you always want to play international tournaments and represent your country.»
«It's just sad, but we can't do anything. One thing I know is that most of the players probably want us to be able to play in these events. I know players are not against that.»
It would definitely be nice to see the excitement that Team Russia would have to offer in this best-on-best tournament since they have a lot of very talented players.
Hopefully in the near future things will change and we will see more countries be added to this tournament.
