J.T. Miller issues unexpected statement on facing former teammate Elias Pettersson following latest drama
New York Rangers newly acquired forward J.T. Miller speaks out on facing former Canucks teammate Elias Pettersson in the upcoming 4 Nations Face-Off.
During Tuesday's 4 Nations Face-Off media day, J.T. Miller (Team USA) spoke out about facing his former teammate Elias Pettersson (Team Sweden) in the upcoming tournament.
By now it's no secret that there was an ongoing
feud between Miller and Pettersson , and it appears to not have ended following Miller's latest comment on facing Elias Pettersson.
The 4 Nations Face-Off is set to be an incredible tournament with the best players around the NHL representing their home countries in a best-on-best style tournament.
As the tournament will officially start tonight between Team Canada and Team Sweden, each team had their media day on Tuesday as players discussed their seasons and what it means to represent their countries.
During Miller's media availability, he was of course asked about the trade that sent him to the New York Rangers and the upcoming matchup with former teammate Elias Pettersson.

When asked about facing Pettersson in the tournament, Miller delivered an honest answer as he's mainly focused on playing his best game for Team USA, and couldn't really be bothered with these types of questions.
«It's definitely something that [the media builds] up for sure. I'm sure it's more exciting for you guys, but it's just another game for us.»
Miller then went on to say he feels this tournament is a great time for him to reset with a new group after dealing with all the chaos that the last few weeks have brought him over the last few weeks.
«It's been a busy year in my world [this tournament] is a great opportunity for me to get away for a second, be with a different group, a different scene.»
However, only time will tell how their reunion will be as Team Sweden and Team USA drop the puck on Monday, February 17th in Boston at TD Garden.
