Major development surfaces regarding the Rangers acquiring Martin Necas
An unfortunate turn of events has surfaced involving the New York Rangers acquiring Martin Necas and it was confirmed by an insider.
Ever since the Carolina Hurricanes were eliminated from the playoffs, their star player Martin Necas has been involved in multiple trade rumours, and it's seems likely that he will be traded this offseason.
David Pagnotta made a stammer last week, stating 5-7 teams were highly interested in acquiring him, but from a more recent statement from Pagnotta it is now down to 3 teams.
Apparently the Hurricanes are asking for a budding star' in return for Necas, so now it's just time to wait and see what team is willing to pay the asking price.
However, according to David Pagnotta the three teams that are interested in him are the Montreal Canadiens, Seattle Kraken, and Nashville Predators, but that there was still a chance of the other teams making a move, like the New York Rangers.
As the Hurricanes carry out trade talks with teams about Martin Necas, the word is Carolina is looking to complete a 'hockey trade' not a deal strictly for future assets. Teams like Nashville, Seattle, Montreal among those still believed to be in the mix.
Necas had quite the year with the Carolina Hurricanes as he managed to put up 24 goals, 29 assists for a total of 53 points in just 77 games, and definitely deserves a pay raise on his next contract.
