The New York Rangers added Center JT Miller with the intent of improving the lineup after he desired to exit Vancouver, and he's given us some insight into how it all played out. Miller was drafted by the team in 2011 and is part of a new-look Rangers squad.

GM Chris Drury and the New York Rangers have been retooling as the season progresses in hopes of saving the 2024-2025 season.
While it's debatable that the moves have paid off, JT Miller returning to Madison Square Garden has been a move that's been largely popular amongst Rangers fans. He plays with heart, and grit and has a goal-scoring touch we miss from other players in the lineup.
Miller was flipped to the Rangers for a first-round pick, Filip Chytil, and defenseman Victor Mancini who now resides in Abbotsford, as a depth defenseman for the Canucks.
During his time with the Canucks he became a household name, as one of the team's top stars after spending the last few years in Tampa Bay, with the Lightning.
With tensions rising in the locker room, GM Patrik Allvin sought to alleviate the situation any way he could.
That would end up happening with a trade of JT Miller, who waived his no-trade clause to return to MSG.
Now out of Rogers Arena, Vancouver Miller has escaped the drama and found his game in New York.
He gave USA Today's Vince Mercogliano an idea of where his mind is at now.
«A lot of the season wasn't really fun, so I'm just enjoying myself right now,» Miller said to Vincent Mercogliano of USA Today. «It's fun coming to the rink again.»
The 31-year-old superstar Center has found a new life, and a new home in a familiar place, New York.

He's known to be confident, and plays with a bit of arrogance, we dare not say it's unearned, however.

«I definitely come off as angry,» Miller said. «People may not like that, but I don't really give a (expletive) what they think.
«My whole career, I feel like I have something to prove all the time. The second I lose that mindset, I feel like things are going to dip - and they have. The proof is in the pudding there. You never want to feel like you're at a satisfied mentality. I've been like that since I was a kid. I always want more. It's just a part of my DNA, really.»

He'd show up and put on the Rangers uniform and find a way to contribute right away with two goals, and revitalized the team's top line with the edge he plays with.
Can GM Chris Drury find the right pieces to give the Rangers a shot at a Cup in the future? Miller may be the 1st piece in a bigger puzzle.
