Former Rangers captain Jacob Trouba facing suspension after vicious headshot hit on Jordan Kyrou
Former New York Rangers captain Jacob Trouba is trending once again for a very controversial hit during Sunday nights game between the Anaheim Ducks and the St. Louis Blues.
Anaheim Ducks veteran defender and former New York Rangers captain, Jacob Trouba found himself in hot water again on Sunday night after delivering a brutal headshot hit on St. Louis Blues forward
Jordan Kyrou.

The former New York Rangers captain Jacob Trouba is no stranger to laying controversial hits on his opponents, especially during his time with the Rangers organization, here's just a few examples of this:
However, Trouba laid another massive hit to the head of Kyrou, which resulted in him to immediately drop to the ice and clench his head in pain. A type of hit that just may land Trouba in trouble with the NHL Department of Player Safety.
Following the disturbing hit, Blues captain
Brayden Schenn who was celebrating his 1000th NHL game wasted no time to stick up for his teammate and went after Trouba.
Ultimately the St. Louis Blues got the last laugh as they managed to pull off a monster 7-2 victory, and Kyrou went on to tally three assist.
The New York Rangers ended up traded their captain Jacob Trouba to the Anaheim Ducks for defenseman Urho Vaakananien and a 2025 4th round pick back in December, after GM Chris Drury made it clear that he was looking to trade away his veteran players.
