Insider reveals the most likely candidate to exit the Rangers lineup once Vincent Trocheck returns
NHL Insider Peter Baugh of The Athletic's latest article today gives us a good idea of who will come out of the Rangers lineup when Vinnie Trocheck returns. Though you'd think it might be someone like Noah Laba, it might be much, much different.
He hadn't shed the non-contract jersey just yet, but we don't have an exact return date just yet. But when Trocheck does
return to the Blueshirts lineup, we have an idea of who could come out.
Who Will Come out of the New York Rangers Lineup when Vinnie Trocheck Returns?
Sullivan commented on his presence in the practice facility on Monday:
«Just his presence being around the group means the world, just with his leadership, his energy,» Sullivan said. «The fact that he joined the group today suggests that he's getting closer.»
With explosive center Noah Laba capturing the hearts of Rangers fans with his gritty style of play and intuitive hockey iq, would he be it?
Not according to a report from Peter Baugh of The Athletic.
For one, Sullivan will have to choose one forward to sit. The likely candidates are Jonny Brodzinski and Juuso Pärssinen, both of whom have been in and out of the lineup this season. Sullivan has played Pärssinen for more games than Brodzinski (nine games to five) but has tended to trust Brodzinski with more ice time per game (9:32 to 9:15)
Giving us an idea that Noah Laba will be shifting downwards in the lineup when Trocheck assumes his old role in the Rangers lineup.
Due to the fact that Brodzinski has played with
Adam Edstrom and
Sam Carrick longer gives us the idea that, along with his strong defensive play, he'll stay in the lineup, despite his and Parssinen's similar offensive production.
Here's how Peter Baugh envisions the lineup:
The Rangers desperately need Trocheck back, and soon.
