New York Rangers top offensive prospect has been putting on a heater in the American Hockey League, something that has gained the youngster a ton of recognition over the last few days.

Earlier on Monday afternoon, the American Hockey League has finally recognized Rangers top prospect Gabe Perreault, as they announced that he has been selected as the Howies Hockey Tape/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending Nov. 2, 2025.
Something the 20-year old forward had truly earned, as in just three games last week with the Wolf Pack, Perreault managed to tally six points (3 goals, 3 assists) and a +5 +/- rating.

Gabe Perreault Continues To Shine In The American Hockey League

Even since Gabe Perreault was assigned to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL, after being one of the final cuts from the New York Rangers 2025 training camp, he has put on an absolute show.
Perreault began the week by recording three points (1 g, 2 a) in the club's 4-1 victory over the Charlotte Checkers on Wednesday night. He followed that up by scoring a goal on Friday night and two points (1 g, 1 a) on Saturday night in a pair of overtime losses against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

The native of Sherbrooke, QC, is currently on a four-game point streak in which he has recorded eight points (4 g, 4 a). It is the longest streak by a Wolf Pack player this season. He has also scored a goal in four straight games.

Perreault is the first Wolf Pack player to be named the Howies Hockey Tape/AHL Player of the Week since Louis Domingue won the award for the period ending Jan. 15, 2023.

The New York Rangers former first-round (23rd Overall) draft pick of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft, is truly making an impact as he leads the Wolf Pack in goals (five), assists (five), points (ten), and +/- (+7) in just nine games played.
If the New York Rangers offensive struggles continue to progress, i think it's safe to say that without a doubt we could see Gabe Perreault join the Rangers lineup at some point throughout the 2025-26 season.
