Vancouver Canucks forward opens up on the uncomfortable position he was left in when the J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson's drama spread throughout the Canucks locker room.

Last season things got very uncomfortable within the Canucks organization, as several reports surfaced that revealed a heated feud between J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson, something that required attention from GM Patrik Allvin.
Patrik Allvin was also put in tough decision as he needed to put an end to the feud between the two players. Resulting in J.T. Miller to be traded to the New York Rangers for a return price of forward Filip Chytil and defensive prospect Victor Mancini.
However, another player from the Canucks organization, Jake DeBrusk, has just recently opened up on how he felt uncomfortable as the rift between the two players ended up making him the middle man.

Jake DeBrusk Became The Middle Man Of J.T. Miller's Rift In Vancouver

Jake DeBrusk joined the Vancouver Canucks organization as a free agent after the Boston Bruins decided not to re-sign him. However, DeBrusk's fresh start in Vancouver didn't go the way he expect, as he was caught in the middle of all the drama.
DeBrusk had revealed that he and Miller built a close friendship last season when he joined the Canucks, but was in a uncomfortable position as he was next to Pettersson in the locker room.
"I have the perfect excuse. I wasn't there that long. I don't know everything... J.T. had me over for dinner a couple of times, and I love him a lot. I was sitting beside Petey in the dressing room, and we hung out a lot. It became a thing where I was almost the middle man.

In all fairness I wish the best for J.T. and his family; they welcomed me. For me it's unfortunate; I wanted to play longer with them, but it's not my decision. Trades happen all the time. Yeah, it was a crazy time."
Fortunately, this is all in the past now, and we can start worry about the upcoming 2025-26 season, as it should be a interesting one for the New York Rangers as they look to make there way back to becoming a contending team, and even maybe name a captain before the season starts.
