Devils Fans Dared To Taunt Him Last Night? They Regretted It Big Time!
The Rangers smacked the New Jersey Devils down a notch in the standing with their 5-3 win last night.
Meanwhile, the Rangers maintain their first place lead in the Metropolitan Division!
What made this win all the more remarkable, was the return of
Igor Shesterkin from his injury, and his gradual improvement period after period.
Igor Shesterkin played his first game since November 2nd, so you'll bet there was some rust to shake off.
Allowing two goals in the first period, with both goals sneaking past him after it seemed like he secured them.
Although this one was highly controversial, our awesome friends in Toronto of course, reviewed the play and called it a good goal when it was originally waved off by the refs. We will talk about this later.
Either way, Devils fans dared to taunt Shesterkin with still time left in the game.
They regretted it of course. Igor Shesterkin allowed only one more goal after the first and looked as sharp as ever.
Take a look at this
Jesper Bratt breakaway shot only to get shut down by the man Devils fans dared to taunt.
Even Laviolette acknowledges Igor Shesterkin started off slow, and only got better with every passing minute.
Hey Devils fans, I got some advice for you guys. Maybe cheer for your goaltender to actually play better than the goaltender that outplayed your best player. Just saying.
