On Tuesday night the New York Rangers fell gave up a very crucial game to the Calgary Flames as they lost 2-1, and now forward Artemi Panarin has provided a harsh summary of last nights game along with calling out their poor performance.
The 2024-25 season has truly been a tough one for the New York Rangers and their fans, as things continuously get worse when the team shows the slightest bit of improvement.
The Rangers had the opportunity to gain another two very crucial points last night, to keep themselves in the Eastern Conference Wild Card position, but ultimately they were dominated by the Flames, despite only losing 2-1 the Rangers played one of their worst game of the season as the Flames outshot them 35-13.
Artemi Panarin calls out the New York Rangers for their poor efforts against the Flames
After the very dreadful performance from the New York Rangers last night, Artemi Panarin was asked about the game, and if anyone besides Igor Shestekrin showed up to play, he gave a very honest answer:
He then continued with the following statement on if the Rangers played with enough effort:
"It looked like no. I'm sure everyone tried, it's just sometimes - I don't know. It's hard to say exactly (what it was). It's always a bunch of things, but we've got to be sharper."
Definitely not a good look for the New York Rangers, but they still have a few more chances to get themselves back into the Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference, but ultimately that's up to the team and how they wont to play moving forward.
