An Affordable player has just entered the New York Rangers radar and it's truly shocking
A recent announcement has unveiled that an affordable player is suggested to have hit the New York Rangers' radar, and it's surprising.
As the
New York Rangers continue to pursue their re-tool this offseason, in hopes to pursue postseason contention for the 2025/26 NHL season, the organization is on the look out for skilled talent that can bring this Original Six franchise to the next level.
And new insight has unveiled that an affordable player on the market is suggested to have hit the New York Rangers' radar.
According to RG Media, Kuznetsov is dissecting his options over a few different offers, as he is seeking his return to the NHL after spending his last season in the KHL.
Now, Kuznetsov's agent, Shumi Babaev, has made it known that signing this 33-year old will not come at an expensive price.
«I don't think the perception of Kuznetsov in the NHL has changed,» Babaev stated. «He's still viewed as a high-end talent with great potential. At the same time, he's not going to cost what he did before-he's not an $8 million player anymore. His new deal will be significantly more affordable, and for many cap-strapped teams, that could be a steal: a quality centre at a reasonable price. It's actually a great moment for a comeback.»
This being said, Kuznetsov could undoubtably become a perfect addition to the Rangers' roster, in order for the team to better round out their current bottom-six forward core.
And despite the fact this 33-year old may not be what he was earlier into his career, Kuznetsov's high upside makes him a perfect match for a third-fourth line center.
