There's talks in New Yorks by pundits, that the Rangers current core of players, has made it as far as they could, and major changes need to happen.
Rumors are swirling as Mika Zibanejad has been named as a trade piece in New York. The forward who held himself accountable after Game 4's loss, has chatter surrounding his eventual trade, if people have their way.
Zibanejad scored 81 points( 26G, 65 A) in 82 games, following it up in the post-season with 16 points( 3 G, 13 A) in 16 playoff games.
People want to see Zibanejad moves, so the team could get a 2nd line center, while moving Vinnie Troecheck, Artemi Panarin and Alexi Lafreniere up to the 1st line.

Zibanejad's AAV is currently an expensive hit at $8.5 Million, and with a NTC attached he might need convinced in order to move on from New York. The atmosphere could end up being toxic, if he does refuse to waive his NTC.
Imagine how awkward training camp could be.
With multiple RFAs to deal with including Kaapo Kakko, Braden Schneider, and Ryan Lindgren to deal the Rangers could be in a bind in the future.
With Igor Shesterkin who is due a raise as well, who may be seeking upwards of $12 Million per year, Zibanejad could be the odd-man out for the Rangers.
