With one day left in the NHL season, the Buffalo Sabres have had another disappointing year which has led to the firing of their head coach Don Granato and his assistants.

Frank Seravalli spoke with Jonny Lazarus about the firing and made a revealing statement on how many coaches Rasmus Dahlin has gone through in his seven years in the league.

Dahlin had a drop in production this season as the 24 year old defenseman who was drafted by the Sabres in 2018 first overall scored twenty goals with 39 assists for 59 points and was a - 3.

That is a stark difference between last year where he played 78 games and had 73 points and was a + 12.

It's becoming clear that the Buffalo Sabres just cannot seem to get their act together and put together a proper season for their fan base.

No matter which coach is behind the bench, they always start off great and then fade as the season goes on.

This season showed a glimmer of promise as they were closer to the playoffs than they were for several years.

But it was futile, and the Sabres are still looking outside of the playoff tournament.

There are several coaches already being mentioned as potential replacements for Granato including former Saint Louis head coach Craig Berube.

There was even some fans looking for Lindy Ruff to be returned 2 the Sabres as he was fired from the team eleven years ago.
