The Tkachuk family is well known in the NHL especially for their toughness and the style of play they enforce on other teams.

During last night's game against the New Jersey Devils, Brady Tkachuk of the Ottawa Senators had broken the single game high record for hits which stands at 16.

Throughout his short career, Brady Tkachuk who stands at six foot four 225 lbs has always played with an edge for the senators since being drafted in 2018, first round 4th pick overall.

He has been a solid producer of offence for his team as he was also named captain.

Throughout this season, he has played 75 games, scoring 34 goals with 33 assists for 67 points and has 128 penalty minutes.

With the team taking a dive in the standings and near the bottom, Brady Tkachuk has seen a sharp decline in his production as in the 2022-2023 season he had 83 points through 82 games.

The Ottawa Senators were expected to take the next step in their development as they were supposed to be a playoff contender this year.

The team was mired in several controversies including an ownership sale that dragged on too long, a gambling suspension on one of their star players in Shane Pinto and an overall team that did not perform up to par especially in their goaltending department.

The Senators are looking to turn the page on this year and with new general manager Steve Staios rounding out his staff, the senators will continue to build off this core while including new pieces through either trade or draft.
