Tragic news as a young goaltender of Quebec, Canada has sadly passed away following a hockey tournament this past weekend.
21-year old Zachary Bourassa, who was a goaltender playing in a Dek Hockey Tournament at Martin-Bergeron park near Centre Sportif Alphonse-Desjardins in Trois-Rivieres.
According to recent reports, Bourassa went into cardiac arrest, which ultimately resulted in him sadly passing away.
This was later confirmed by his mother, who made a heartbreaking post on facebook.

Bourassa's family revealed that the people on scene did everything they could to try and save his life, and they even used a defibrillator, but unfortunately he was pronounced deceased before the ambulance arrived.
According to the Bourassa family, he went into cardiac arrest during one of the games, and they even stated that hockey did not play a part, and was not the reason for his tragic death.
During this tragic time, the hockey community has once again come together as many friends, family and strangers have put sticks out to honour Bourassa.
