Team Finland makes a major last minute announcement regarding former rangers forward
Team Finland has just announced a massive last minute lineup change before facing Team Sweden in the 4 Nations Face-Off that will take place on Saturday at 1:00PM at the Bell Centre in Montreal.
In a recent announcement made by several NHL insiders including Elliotte Friedman , former New York Rangers forward
Kaapo Kakko will be slotting in for Team Finland today and will officially be playing his first game of the 4 Nations Face-Off.
The former Rangers was a healthy scratch for the tournament opener against Team USA, a game in which Finland took a brutal 6-1 loss. Unfortunately Armia took two minor penalties in the loss, which is likely the reason that he is now scratched.
Today, Team Finland and Team Sweden will be facing off, and Finland has elected to bring in Kakko, a forward with a better scoring touch, something Finland was lacking against the US.
If Team Finland doesn't managed to win in regulation today, they'll have a very low chance of making the finals.
However, the 24-year old forward has been known to be a difference maker in several other international tournaments. Just this season along Kaapo has managed to tally 9 goals and 22 assists throughout 54 games played between the Rangers and Kraken.
