The Rangers have had a great season so far. The team has come together in the second-half and appears to be ready to make a long push in the playoffs. It was recently shown that the team is with several elite teams as they are tied for the best team in the NHL.

Of course, this means that they would be in contention for potentially winning the presidents trophy. It's a trophy that many teams strive for however it's not the end all be all. As recognized as the best team in the NHL during the season it certainly gives the team some accolades too their efforts however all teams would rather win the Stanley Cup.

The Rangers have remained at the top of the metro division for most of the season and it appears that they will be solidifying that position with their play as of late. Having played 71 games, with a record of 47-20-4 for 98 points along with a .690 winning percentage, the Rangers have a great chance to landing the Presidents Trophy.
