Head Coach Mike Sullivan Issues Unpleasant News Regarding New York Rangers Captain J.T. Miller
New York Rangers head coach Mike Sullivan provides an unpleasant update on captain J.T. Miller after just providing fans with some very good news.
Back on Monday morning, captain J.T. Miller was forced to exit the New York Rangers practice early after he lunged towards the puck to make a play and unfortunately fell to the ice in pain.
Oh no: Miller went lunging to save a puck here and came up favoring his leg. You can see he's in pain and he heads off to the locker room. #NYR
However, not long after, on Monday night the New York Rangers were able to evaluate J.T. Miller and provide fans with a massive update.
After evaluating J.T. Miller, the organization revealed that he was in fact going to be ok, as it appears he avoided any serious injuries.
Sounds like the #NYR avoided anything serious with JT Miller. There's even hope he may practice tomorrow.
New York Rangers Provide Unpleasant News On J.T. Miller
On Wednesday morning head coach Mike Sullivan and the New York Rangers confirmed that J.T. Miller will in fact be missing their next preseason game on Thursday night against the New Jersey Devils.
Along with stating that they believe he is trending the right way and will return to the ice in a timely manner. Something many Rangers fans have heard before, and unfortunately it always takes longer than expected.
"I believe that he's trending the right way and we'll get him back on the ice in a timely manner."
Mike Sullivan provides an update on J.T. Miller:
Again this is certainly some very good news for J.T. Miller and the New York Rangers, as Miller will only be considered day-to-day and with a lower-body injury.
Just hopefully we will see him for the Rangers opening-night on October 7th against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
