NHL Insider confirms four teams have emerged as frontrunners to acquire Miller

Miller has been in the news for the past couple of weeks as general manager Chris Drury has made it clear that he would like to move off from the 25 year old defenseman.

The teams in question are the Nashville Predators, Los Angeles Kings, Calgary Flames and the San Jose Sharks.

All four teams are attempting to improve their rosters as all four teams are in different states of winning like the Nashville Predators who expected to have a better season then what transpired and are looking to shake up and get younger.

The Calgary Flames who had a fire sale over the past couple of years with several prominent players including Matthew Tkachuk have done good work to their team and have emerged out of the basement of the Western Conference but are still in need of improved defense.

The San Jose Sharks are a team that's on the rise as they continue to do their rebuild plan which needs better defensemen.

The Los Angeles Kings are tied to the Rangers as indications show but the Rangers may be on the cusp of landing one of their top defensemen in unrestricted free agency in Vladislav Gavrikov.

Miller would give every one of these team's size as he stands at 6 foot 5 and 209 lbs and played 74 games this year, scoring seven goals with 20 assists for 27 points.

Adding Miller would help soften the blow and it remains to be seen on how much any of the franchises are willing to pay Miller as he is set to become a restricted free agent with arbitration rights.

One thing is certain, it's likely he will not be part of the Rangers organization when training camp begins in September.
