New York Rangers Scoreless Streak Finally Comes To End: Artemi Panarin Scores Within Just Under A Minute
The New York Rangers finally break their scoreless streak on home ice, after super star forward nets a beauty against the Minnesota Wild on Monday night.
However, not even a minute into Monday nights game, New York Rangers superstar forward
Artemi Panarin put an end to the teams scoreless streak on home ice at Madison Square Garden after netting a beauty of a goal against
Filip Gustavsson and the Wild.
Mika with the feed + Bread buries it.
Truly a very impressive goal as it all started with a breakout in the Rangers defensive zone, and to mention a beauty pass from
Mika Zibanejad.
That goal from Panarin all starts with the crisp #NYR breakout.
That's exactly how it looks in practice.
New York Rangers Create NHL History For All The Wrong Reasons
The Rangers have been shutout on home ice at Madison Square Garden, for the third time since opening-night on October 7th. Resulting in the organization to become the first ever team in the National Hockey League to do so.
After losing 3-0 to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Oct 7th, then losing 1-0 to the Washington Capitals on Oct 12th, and now again losing 2-0 to the Edmonton Oilers on Oct 14th, the New York Rangers have created history for being the first team in NHL history to be shutout in each of their first three home games to begin a new season.
The Rangers are the first team in NHL history to get shut out in their first three home games of the season, per NHL Stats.
The '28 Pirates still have the longest time without a home goal, but different OT rules led to them getting to 187 mins in under three full games.
Thankfully no more history was made during Monday nights game, thanks to Artemi Panarin.
