New York Rangers reportedly re-sign 23-year old forward to an unexpected contract

several reports have broke out that reveal the New York Rangers have re-signed forward Brendan Brisson to a one-year, two-way contract worth $775,000 in the NHL, $100,000 in the minors, and contains a guaranteed salary of $125,000.

Brendan Brisson was originally selected by the Vegas Golden Knights in the first round (29th overall) of the 2020 NHL Draft.

As Brisson joined the Golden Knights he spent most of his time with the Vegas' American Hockey League affiliate the Henderson Silver Knights, before he was eventually traded to the New York Rangers back in March in a deal that sent Reilly Smith to Vegas.

However, the 23-year-old played 16 games for the Hartford Wolf Pack, and managed to tally two goals, four assists, for a total of six points.

Prior to that Brisson also managed to play in 24 total NHL games with the Vegas Golden Knights, tallying two goals, six assists, for a total of eight points while averaging 11:25 minutes.
