The New York Rangers are continuing to evaluate their prospects and talent and it appears that they have a key decision to make between Rangers Matt Rempe and Adam Edstrom.
Head coach Peter Laviolette has been taking notice between the two players as renpy worked diligently throughout the summer on different aspects of his game including fighting with former NHL enforcer Georges Laraque, living with Jonathan Quick in Connecticut while working in the gym and taking pointers from Rangers star Chris Kreider.
Edstrom has been turning heads since training camp begin as he has been using his physical nature standing at six foot seven 235 lbs and has a similar physical game as Rempe. He also has been noticed on the score sheet as he contributed a goal and an assist which included the game-winning goal when Rangers played against the Islanders.
This kind of competition on the fourth line will add another dynamic to the Rangers lineup as both players would give them an edge especially when it comes to shutting down the other lines.
Rempe captured the fan base last year as he entered the Rangers landscape near the end of the season. He began to take on several enforcers from different teams as he wanted to show the rest of the NHL that he could fight and hold his own. He also grabbed the attention of his teammates and became a favorite in the dressing room.
With Rempe's change in his game and determination to show the NHL that he is a much better player and Edstrom wanting to be in the NHL, this sets up the finals of camp to be great.
