New York Rangers general manager Chris Drury spoke out shortly after the firing of Peter Laviolette and whether the team needs to improve its communication regarding ice time and scratches of players going forward.

Over the past couple of weeks, reports have been surfacing from players about how they have been treated by the organization especially when it came to being scratched and their ice times as defenseman Calvin de Haan brought it to light with his direct comments.

Drury feels he needs to be better with communication to players

Many questions continue to swirl around the organization as some pundits and many fans feel that jury should also share the same fate as his head coach as the team failed to reach the playoffs after being the President's Trophy winner the year before
.
Players such as Barclay Goodrow and Jacob Trouba were players that had been traded from the team with interesting takes on how the Rangers declared them available for trade and how the players should accept being moved on.
Many feel that this mistrust between management and the players was a key factor in what led to the downfall of the Rangers this year as the team seemed quite cohesive last year as they were within a short distance to the Stanley Cup Finals.

Rangers will be quite busy this coming offseason

It's widely expected that the Rangers will be quite busy over the offseason as the team looks to remodel its core and change the way the team is designed.
Some pundits feel that the Rangers would look to move off from Chris Kreider and Mika Zibanejad's contracts while installing some of the youth from the Hartford Wolf Pack including Gabriel Perreault and Brennan Othmann as the new faces of the team.
It will be a fascinating offseason for this team, and it will be expected to see more headlines now that Laviolette has been terminated.
