With the team looking to secure a wild card spot and need all the help they can get. So losing any player long-term at this time of the year is never good.

Matt Rempe's injury most likely comes from the Rangers when they faced off against the LA Kings and took a 3-1 loss.
During that game, Matt Rempe attempted to get his team fired up by dropping the gloves with Tanner Jeannot, but ended up doing the opposite after he caught an edge and tumbled backwards onto the ice.

On Wednesday morning the New York Rangers took to the ice for their optional practice and Matt Rempe was seen on the ice and was wearing a regular jersey instead of a non-contact.

Unfortunately though, Matt Rempe won't be playing in tonight's game against the Minnesota Wild as head coach Peter Laviolette confirmed he will still remain sidelined.
