Matt Rempe Issues Emotional Statement On Chris Kreider's Departure From The New York Rangers

New York Rangers fan favourite enforcer Matt Rempe opens up for the first time on Chris Kreider being traded to the Anaheim Ducks this offseason, something that clearly comes with a ton emotions as Kreider was a mentor to all the young players.
Chris Kreider has spent the the last 13-season with the New York Rangers organization, so seeing him be traded away isn't easy for all his fans and former New York teammates to process.
Chris Kreider will forever be considered a New York Rangers legend as he became one of the most memorable forwards in franchise history, whether it be on or off the ice his presence was felt.
Matt Rempe reveals his true feelings on Chris Kreider being traded
During the recent Shoulder Check Showcase Matt Rempe was asked how he felt about Kreider being traded to the Ducks, and without an hesitation Rempe didn't hold back and revealed his true feelings:
«It's definitely different. I'm going to miss him a lot,» Matt Rempe said. «He's a great mentor, teammate to me, but still I see him every day at the gym. It's good to see him.»
Chris Kreider enjoying his last summer in New York
However, it has been confirmed that Kreider is raining this summer at Prentiss Hockey Performance in Stanford, Where he will be joined with a couple of New York Rangers players including Rempe, Brett Berard, Jonathan Quick.
«It's all competitive, we all want to put up the best numbers. I want to be the best in the gym. It's a lot of fun. You've got Quickie in there, he's 40 and still slinging weights around. It's unreal.»
Kreider will forever be a Rangers fan favourite no matter what team he plays for, and it's certainly nice to see him hang around New York before he heads to Anaheim, California.
