It has recently been announced by several insiders that Team USA is expected to make Winnipeg Jets forward Kyle Connor a healthy scratch for tonight's Championship game between Team USA and Team Canada.
I expect Kyle Connor will sit out tonight.
He was skating in Brady Tkachuk's spot yesterday at practice - often the 'scratch slot'. Stayed out to do extra work this morning.
Kreider brings the bigger body and speed element that will be needed.
If that's the case then obviously it will be New York Rangers veteran Chris Kreider slotting in to take his spot during the Championship game.
Rangers veteran Chris Kreider expected to play with Team USA in Championship game
Chris Kreider was brought to the Four Nations tournament by Team USA as the 13th forward, and made his debut for Team USA when they faced off against Sweden.
During his debut he managed to score Team USA's only goal within the first 35 seconds, however they took an unfortunate 2-1 loss but it meant nothing as they already secure their spot in the finals.
Tonight will be a battle for the ages as the two top teams will face off for the Championship game and will prove who is truly the best nation when it comes to Hockey.
Do you think Chris Kreider is the right choice over Kyle Connor? Let us know in the poll down below and stay tuned to NY Rangers Insider for the latest news and updates on the New York Rangers.
