Life-changing news has struck a former member of the New York Rangers organization, and it's set to greatly impact his career path moving forward.

The New York Rangers dealt away young promising forward Filip Chytil in a trade with the Vancouver Canucks involving JT Miller which had it's bumps and bruises.
Chytil, a former 21st overall pick by the Rangers organization in 2017 showed great promise, but has failed to play a full NHL season since 2022 due to ongoing injuries.
Just take a look at his rough go so far into his early NHL career:
Concussion 1/7/25, Upper Body 11/16/24, Upper-body, 5/11/24 Illness, 11/2/23 Upper-Body, 12/3/22, Lower Body 10/23/22, Concussion 4/23/22, Undisclosed 4/8/22, Upper Body 2/1/22, Lower body 1/22/22, Lower Body 12/15/21, Undisclosed 11/8/21, Upper Body 1/26/21, Upper Body 3/11/20, Lower Body, 2/21/20, Upper Body 4/3/19, and another Undisclosed injury this past season.
A true unfortunate turn of events for the once promising prospect, had his season plagued once again following a hit from a former Canucks forward, Jason Dickinson.
Many believed that may have bit the bullet for Chytil, potentially. ending his NHL career.

"The biggest worry for the young forward is that CTE is an every growing epidemic in the nature of contact sprots, and suffering 5 concussions puts him at high risk for developing it, which many believe he should hang up the skates for the safety of his long-term brain health." - Maverick Mitchell
