Fired? Peter Laviolette has just issued his final statement with the Rangers following latest confession

Following a brutal 5-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning, the New York Rangers are now officially six points behind the Montreal Canadiens for the final wild card spot in the Eastern Conference.

Monday night was a disaster for the New York Rangers, as young star Alexis Lafreniere was tossed from the game after receiving a ten minute game misconduct following an altercation with NHL official Chris Rooney.

Then to add to that, Peter Laviolette openly admitted to neglecting to address the team following their poor efforts, in a very shocking statement.

Following the game Laviolette was asked about his message for the team. Shockingly, Laviolette admitted that he doesn't address his team post-game and that, in fact, he doesn't even enter the team's dressing room.

Unsurprisingly, many fans are calling for this be the last season for Peter Laviolette, as a few have compared this situation with former New York Rangers head coach John Tortorella's incident with the Philadelphia Flyers.
