Former New York Rangers Kevin Shattenkirk reveals his true colours towards the organization

Former New York Rangers defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk was interviewed by Ryan Whitney of Spittin' Chiclets. He gave us some insight on how he felt about his short career with the New York Rangers.
Defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk only played 119 games with the New York Rangers during the 2017-2019 seasons. He left before the teams that would see regular playoff experience would take the ice.
You'd think the former defenseman, now retired from professional hockey, might be better about his experience.
Instead, he felt grateful to have a shot to play in New York and get a chance to win with them, though it didn't go as he'd hoped.
Shattenkirk felt the experience alone was worth it, as Madison Square Garden was an iconic spot to land during your NHL career, which he was lucky enough to do.
Shattenkirk wore the "A" during his short time in New York, but never win Lord Stanley's Cup.
The two-way defenseman chose to retire near the beginning of the 2024-2025 season after he wasn't able to find a contract with an NHL team.
Since then, he's joined the NHLPA to help out some of his fellow players as a Divisional Player Representative.
A great move for a player who found himself playing important roles for teams like the Rangers and Bruins.
With 952 games of NHL experience, he felt that all games he spent wearing a Blue shirt were great just for the experience alone.
In 925 games, he's scored 484 points (103 goals, 381 assists) as a two-way defenseman in the NHL.
Now he'll defend his fellow colleagues on the ice in the office, instead of on the ice.
