Exclusive Interview: Mike Sullivan Opens Up On Noah Laba's Performance Thus Far With The New York Rangers

During a recent interview head coach Mike Sullivan has opened up on Noah Laba's performance with the New York Rangers thus far.
It's safe to say the 22-year old rookie has made quite the impression on the New York Rangers organization after just playing four games, as not many expected him to make the opening-night roster.
In four games with the Rangers thus far, Laba has continued to build on his momentum, proving that he truly belongs in the NHL. Even on Saturday night the youngster tallied his first NHL career points as by recording two assist against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Mike Sullivan Shares His True Thought On Noah Laba's Performance
Following the Rangers game on Saturday against the Pittsburgh Penguins, head coach Mike Sullivan praised the 22-year old rookie's performance as he was impressed about just everything.
«I think Laba is getting better with every game that he plays,» said Sullivan. «Obviously, his size, his speed, his shooting ability, his strength, on the goal we scored in the second period was a great example of it.»
Along with this, during a recent interview, Sullivan was asked what is it about Laba that makes him stand out compared to the ordinary rookie? - Per Remy Mastey of The Hockey News
Without any hesitation, Sullivan revealed that he likes the way he plays a hard-nose game, and that he isn't afraid to get into the dirty areas on the ice, something that helps generates offensive plays.
«Probably just his poise,» Sullivan said of what he's been most impressed about Laba. «He doesn't seem to get rattled if he makes a mistake out there. He's able to learn from it, move by it. It doesn't affect his next shift, or two or three, whatever it may be. He has a maturity to him. I think that's important to have success in this league. «He doesn't hang on to things when it doesn't go the right way, but he also has the aptitude to learn from it, which is an important element of growth and development. So I think his poise has been the most impressive thing, from my standpoint.»
Right now, Noah Laba's development is on the right track, and New York Rangers fans should be excited for what's to come!
