A completed trade involving New York Rangers star defenseman and the Carolina Hurricanes takes a massive unexpected turn as former Hurricanes GM Don Waddell exposes the ugly truth behind a failed trade on the 'Cam & Strick' podcast.

As many know, New York Rangers defenseman Adam Fox was originally drafted by the Calgary Flames back in the 3rd round of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, but after confirming he wouldn't sign with the Flames, his rights were trade to the Hurricanes for Elias Lindholm and Noah Hanafin.
As Fox and his agent made it seem like they were set on signing with the Hurricanes, but according to Don Waddell who is exposing Fox for his dishonesty, he and his agent decided to change there minds just two weeks later after the trade, leaving the Hurricanes is a massive mess.

Don Waddell Exposes Adam Fox And His Agents Dishonest Antics

During a recent "Cam & Strick' podcast, Waddell made an appearance and explained how Fox and his agent changed their minds about signing with the Hurricanes as Fox was demanding to only play for the New York Rangers.
"It's not quite what we were told. We met on the Draft floor that day with Calgary and we knew that we could make a trade and met with the agent. And he said, 'I we trade for him, he'll absolutely sign with us.' And so obviously, we traded Noah Hanafin and (Elias) Lindholm. But 2 weeks later, the agent called and said that, 'We changed our mind, we don't want to sign, we want to go with the Rangers.' So yeah, you remember those things for sure."

New York Rangers Are Happy To Have Adam Fox On Their Roster

If there is any truth behind this actually happening then it would be a pretty dirty move by Fox and his agent. However it's safe to say that Rangers' fans are glad Fox decided to join the New York Rangers.
As this past year with the Rangers, Fox had a total of 61 points (10G, 51A), his lowest point output since his rookie year in which he played only 55 games in the COVID-shortened season, but still not terrible numbers considering how the whole team struggled.
