Terrible News: New York Rangers announce major roster changes as star player suffers injury
The New York Rangers have received troubling news as star forward has been sidelined with an upper-body injury and has been listed as day-to-day, moments before tonight's game against the St. Louis Blues.
As the New York Rangers hit the ice for their warmups against the St. Louis Blues a noticeable player was missing, that player being star forward Artemi Panari.
The Rangers have just announced that
Artemi Panarin has been sidelined due to suffering an upper-body after facing the L.A Kings on Saturday.
UPDATE: Artemi Panarin (upper body, day-to-day) will not play tonight.
Very unfortunate news for the New York Rangers considering their ongoing struggles.
#NYR warmup lines vs. #STLBlues:
Cuylle-Chytil-Lafrenière
Brodzinski-Trocheck-Smith
Berard-Zibanejad-Vesey
Edström-Carrick-Kreider
Lindgren-Fox
Jones-Schneider
Mackey-Ruhwedel
Quick
Shesterkin
Quite a bit of changes for tonight's lineups, as Artemi Panarin,
Kaapo Kakko, and Victor Mancini are all out of the lineup as healthy scratches, leaving
Jimmy Vesey and
Chad Ruhwedel slotting in.
Kaapo Kakko is a healthy scratch tonight in St. Louis. No injury, I'm told. Just a coach's decision. #NYR
Hopefully Peter Laviolette has made the right decision and this will be the shake up the Rangers need to turn things around.
