Jonathan Quick speaks out on retirement plans after signing one-year extension with the Rangers
However, this afternoon, Rangers insider Mollie Walker of the New York Post, spoke with Quick and asked him the question many fans want to know.
That question being, how long does he plan on playing before retiring from the National Hockey League?
Here's what Quick had to say about that:
"With this league, it's a very in-the-moment process. It doesn't really help looking that far ahead. You're just, 'What do I have to do today to help the team win a game today?' You go from there. I'm sure summertime you put a little bit of thought into it, but for the time being, we're just focused on Minnesota."
Quick seems very comfortable doing what he does best despite his age, and it honestly doesn't seem like he's ready to show down anytime soon.
In 48 games with New York, across two seasons, Quick has accumulated a 27-12-4 record, along with a .904 save percentage, 2.83 goals-against average and five shutouts.
