Cole Caufield traded to the New York Rangers? A big proposal progresses

The name that continues to appear as a trade candidate from the Montreal Canadiens is their forward Cole Caufield.

Many fans want the Canadiens to exchange him for Utah's first round pick(6th overall pick), but now the Rangers have been linked to the 23-year old.

It looks like Lafrenière's playoff performance has persuade 47% of Canadien fans to want this trade to happen, However I'm not to sure Rangers fans would want this to happen.

23 year old Cole Caufield, was a 15th overall pick in the 2019 draft, and has tallied 28 goals and 37 assists for a total of 65 points in 82 games this season.

While on the other hand, 22-year old Alexis Lafrenière was the 1st overall draft pick of the 2020 draft. He managed only 57 points with 28 goals and 29 assists during the regular season, and then followed that up with an impressive playoff run with 14 points, 8 goals and 6 assist in just 16 games.
