Edmonton Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch made a very unpopular decision before facing off against the New York Rangers on Sunday night, something that all coaches have to deal with in the National Hockey League.
Earlier on Sunday morning, Oilers reporter Mark Spector confirmed that Kris Knoblauch has made the decision to start
Stuart Skinner for tonight's game against the News York Rangers, and Oilers fans are not happy about that.
The response from Oilers fans are quite harsh to say the least, many have appeared to loss all faith in Skinner as a goaltender, here's what Oilers fans are saying about this decision:
Many would like to see Pickard get another start, especially after coming off a very strong performance against the New York Islanders, where he stopped 24 of the 25 shots he faced on his way to a .960 save percentage.
I say this may benefit the Rangers as Stuart Skinner has a 2.88 goals against average and a .896 save percentage over his 45 appearances for the Oilers this season.
Along with that it's still unclear who the Rangers will play in nets tonight, as many are hoping
Igor Shesterkin will get back-to-back games after only facing 19 shots against the Blue Jackets on Saturday.
However, anything can happen throughout tonight's game, especially with how the Rangers are having a tough time this season.
Do you think Igor Shesterkin should be the starting goalie against the Oilers? Let us know in the poll down below.
