New York Rangers forward Filip Chytil needed assistance off the ice after an apparent knee injury after an ugly knee-on-knee collision with New York Islanders forward Scott Mayfield .
Chytil remained on the ice for a while before he was eventually helped off the ice by Brennan Othmann and Vincent Trocheck. However it didn't take long for the Rangers to retaliate as Ryan Lindgren dropped the gloves with Mayfield but unfortunately Mayfield got the upper hand.
Such a wild night already, but most likely we will continue to see tension between the two teams tonight.
However, good news emerges from the situation as several Rangers reporters have stated that Chytil has retuned to the ice with 1 minute left of play during the first period.

Filip Chytil is back on the ice folks... #NYR
Stay tuned for more updates on the game as we now enter the second period of play.
