Rangers feel optimistic as they march towards the postseason

It's been a season of twist and turns for the Rangers as the team continues to March towards the postseason as the stretch run is almost complete.

The team seems to be rounding out into form starting from their goaltending with Igor Shesterkin showing that he is the starting goaltender as he has played 45 games, with a record of 29-14-2 with his goals against of 2.59 and a save percentage of .912 with three shutouts.
Mika Zibanejad has been on what fans have called his «Mika March» with four points in his past five games.
After beating the New York Islanders 5-2 on Sunday, Rangers forward Vincent Trochek talked to the media and gave his thoughts on where the team stands and why the team has been so successful recently.
Players like Artemi Panarin and the accension of Alexis Lafreniere have give the team more scoring along with Chris Kreider and Vincent Trochek.
The Rangers need to continue to put their foot on the gas pedal as the Carolina Hurricanes are nipping at their heels mean only four points behind them with the same amount of games played.
It only takes one small losing streak to lose first place in the Metro division which the Rangers have held for the bulk of this season.
The team will be at home to face off against the Winnipeg Jets which will be held on Tuesday March 19th and game time will be at 7:00 PM eastern.
