New York Rangers reportedly making a strong push for Jason Robertson following latest signing in Dallas

The New York Rangers have been looking to clear up a ton of cap space this offseason, with trading Chris Kreider to the Ducks and also looking to move on from K'Andre Miller. With reports surfacing about Robertson only having one year left on his deal and becoming a RFA in 2026, maybe the Rangers are serious about acquire him.

The Dallas Stars are in some serious trouble as they now only have about $50,000 in cap space with an 18 player roster after Matt Duchene was just re-signed. Leaving Robertson's name to come up in trade rumors once again to clear some cap space as he carries a $7.75 million AAV cap hit.

Robertson will be 25 years old and has put up at least 79 points in four consecutive seasons. However, the Stars are reportedly trying to avoid trading him if they can, but if they cant then the Rangers have a great chance.

The New York Rangers are desperately looking to add some solid depth and goal scoring to their offensive lines, especialy after they just trade Chris Kreider to the Anaheim Ducks, leaving them to now have just about $15 Million in cap space, while Drury continues to search to move more cap space by moving other players this offseason.

It might be a costly addition to acquire Jason Robertson, but he'd be another building block in an anemic Rangers offense that has been missing all year, and after being one of the many teams officially linked to the star it certainly looks like it could happen.
