Matt Rempe reveals shocking discussion he had with the NHL official after receiving a terrible call

It clear that the NHL officials have been keeping an eye on New York Rangers enforcer Matt Rempe, ever since he returned from his 8-game suspension for elbowing Miro Heiskanen back in December. but Thursday night many seen it first hand as Rempe was called for an outrageous interference penalty, after Devin Shore ran into him.

The call was so bad that many voiced their opinions on social media, including some very high profile figures who also called out the official who made the call, as this one penalty almost cost the Rangers the game.

However, Rangers insider Mollie Walker of the New York Post spoke with Matt Rempe and he revealed the conversation he had with the official after the call was made, and surprisingly apologized for the call.

While doing so, the official took accountability and revealed that it looked bad from his perspective, but the fact the other official and two linesmen on the ice didn't try to make a correction on the play is just inexcusable.

Since retuning it been clear that Matt Rempe is trying to best to stay away from controversial hits and taking bad penalties during crucial moments of the game, so hopefully the moving forward the officials will try to do better and make the correct call instead of just blaming the 6'9» forward.
