Chris Kreider agrees to terms: New York Rangers and the Anaheim Ducks officially combine for a trade
According to reports from NHL Insider Frank Seravalli on Wednesday night, the New York Rangers were in "advanced talks" with the Anaheim Ducks of the Western Conference regarding Rangers longest-tenured player, Chris Kreider.
Sources say #NYR and #NHLDucks are in advanced discussions on a deal that would send Chris Kreider to Orange County.
No semantics: there is NO DEAL at this moment in time.

Since the beginning of the Rangers offseason Chris Kreider's name has been swirling in a bunch of trade speculation. Something many fans seen coming considering Kreider is coming off a down year as he only managed to tally 22 goals and 8 assists for a total of 30 points in 68 games.
Kreider was currently in his sixth year of his seven year contract extension and carried a cap hit of $6.5 million, luckily the New York Rangers were able to move his full cap hit and didn't have to retain of of his salary.
Details surrounding the Chris Kreider trade
Kreider originally had a partial no-trade clause, a modified 15-team no-trade list, and one of those teams were the Anaheim Ducks. However, the 34-year old has agreed to terms and signed off on the trade, meaning he has waived his clause, according to Larry Brooks of the New York Post.
It's was also reported that Kreider and his camp have been in constant communication with Chris Drury this offseason about a trade.
After several days of waiting, Chris Kreider will now join several former New York Rangers teammates such as
Jacob Trouba,
Ryan Strome, and
Frank Vatrano players who will make his transition a lot easier.
