Game 3 of the Stanley Cup finals to be canceled following major announcement
Game three of the Stanley Cup finals just may be cancelled due to weather conditions.
Throughout the past few years the NHL has been faced with cancelling or scheduling games due to extreme weather conditions, and now they are currently faced with postponing or rescheduling Game 3 of the Stanley Cup finals.
According to NHL insider, George Richard's the Florida Panthers are having difficulty leaving south Florida due to ongoing monsoon affecting the area. He also mentioned that the Panthers were expected to arrive in Edmonton later tonight but the team still hasn't left.
This monsoon which has impacted South Florida the past two days is affecting the #FlaPanthers flight to Edmonton.
They are delayed, but expect to get there tonight.
Flight scheduled for 1 but many players and staff still at complex.
Hopefully the Florida Panthers can make it to Edmonton with enough time to get rest before the game or the game will definitely be postponed or rescheduled. However this is a Stanley Cup final game and the NHL wouldn't want to favourite one team over the other.
