New York Rangers found themselves a player they need for playoff success.
The Rangers have been on the brink of success every year for the past few years, but haven't crossed that line and haven't made a final since 2014, where they lost to the Los Angeles Kings. However, there's one player out there that could help the Rangers.
Vegas Golden Knights forward Jonathan Marchessault has a playing style that New York lacks and could fit in perfectly in the lineup.
Marchessault is a proven forward who won the Conn Smythe trophy in 2023 and proved himself once again in 2024, having 42 goals and 17 assists, adding up to 59 points in a fully played 82-game season.
Marchessault is 33 years old. People tend to forget that Jonathan actually started his career off in New York. He signed his first ever contract with the Connecticut Whale back in 2011, the team's affiliate at the time.
With the team lacking some goal scoring and someone really showing up in the playoffs, do they go after Jonathan Marchessault?
