Paul BizNasty predicts Cale Makar will be better than Niklas Lidstrom
The hosts of Spittin Chiclets Ryan Whitney and Paul Bissonnette got into a heated discussion on Biz nasty's statement that he feels Cale Makar will be the best defenseman of all time. What set the discussion off to a high level was business tease statement that Makar is better then former Red Wings superstar Nick Lidstrom.
It's a debate that will rage on for many years to come Makar continues his dominance throughout the league. Both hosts bring up great points to their favor as is nasty pointed out that the Detroit Red Wings at the time when Lidstrom played were built with seven hall of Famers that played for several years together which helped his chances to win as many Norris trophies as possible.
Whitney felt that after only five seasons in the NHL, Makar should not be ranked as high as Biznasty states as he has many years to go and still much to prove.
The 24-year-old defenceman is up for another Norris as he is one of the finalists which includes Roman Josi of the Nashville Predators and Quinn Hughes of the Vancouver Canucks. All three defensemen are fantastic and elite, while it remains to be seen on who will be chosen as the Norris winner this year.
While playing 77 games this year, Makar add 21 goals with 69 assists for 90 points and was a plus 15. Is Colorado Avalanche or on their quest for another Stanley Cup as they await the winner of the Vegas golden Knights and the Dallas Stars series.
