Trocheck spent his first seven years of his career in the NHL with the Panthers and during that time, he had several seasons where he suffered severe injuries which kept him out of the lineup. Yandle also explained that it was in the early days of Trocheck's career when they played together and having watched him become the player he is today and how he has grown he has the high hopes for Trocheck to lift the Stanley Cup in a few months.
This is Trocheck's second season he's completed and through 82 games, he had scored 25 goals with 52 assists for 77 points and was a + 16 with 55 penalty minutes. This eclipsed last season where he scored 22 goals with 64 points through 82 games.
As the Rangers prepare for their second round against the Carolina Hurricanes, Trocheck has a unique storyline to this series as he was a former hurricane from 2019 to 2022. He quickly doesn't feel fazed about this and is ready to take on his former teammates.
