Former NHL player Glen Cochrane, known for his toughness on the ice and his battle with cancer, has passed away at the age of 65.

He played for the Flyers for six seasons and made a significant impact on the team's defense during the early 1980s.
The Flyers expressed their sadness in a statement online.
Glen Cochrane's physical style of play, making him one of the NHL's toughest fighters and checkers, earned him a place in team history for penalty minutes.
After retiring, he worked as a scout for the Colorado Avalanche and Anaheim Ducks.
