Video: Former Rangers forward receives 3-game suspension after striking official in the face
Former New York Rangers forward has just been suspended for three games by the Swiss National League (NL), after abusing an on-ice official.
According to recent reports, former New York Rangers forward Brenden Lemieux, has only played 18 games with the HC Davos this season, tallying just a single assist during that time.
Previously, the 29-year old forward, played a combined 329 NHL games split between the Los Angeles Kings, New York Rangers, Carolina Hurricanes, Winnipeg Jets and Philadelphia Flyers.

According to reports from
Scoutingtherefs.com, the Swiss League suspended HC Davos forward Brendan Lemieux four games for punching linesman Dominik Altmann, after Lemiuex was initially banned for one game during an official league review that saw them tack on three additional games.

The disciplinary department has inflicted a total of four games on Brendan Lemieux for having hit an official during a scuffle with another player. The US-Canadian has already served one game; nonetheless, whatever the outcome, Lemieux will not play in the semifinal series as only a maximum of three games remain to be played
Lemieux, who joined Davos from the Chicago Wolves (AHL), has suited up in 18 games so far this season for HC Davos, collecting one assist.
Definitely an unfortunate situation considering it looked to be a complete accident. However, it did happen and Lemieux will also have to pay a fine of 6500 Swiss Francs, which equates to approximately $7,500 USD, for his actions.
