According to recent reports, there is now two Western Conference teams have emerged as potential frontrunners to acquire New York Rangers star defenseman K'Andre Miller this offseason, if General Manager Chris Drury decides to take that route.

K'Andre Miller is arguably one the National Hockey League's top trade candidates this offseason as many teams are looking to solidify their defensive end, and to no surprise Chris Drury is listening to the incoming offers for the left-shot defenseman.
According to The Fourth Period, two teams that have emerged as frontrunner and are currently linked to K'Andre Miller are the Los Angeles Kings and Calgary Flames.
Recently there has been a ton of speculation that the L.A. Kings and the New York Rangers might combine for a offseason trade involving Vladislav Gavrikov, if he's not signed before free agency. So having the Kings interested in Miller is no surprise as both teams would be getting a strong defenseman.
However, the Calgary Flames seem to be a more of a surprise, but certainly a good suitor for Miller.
The Flames currently lack support on the left side of their defense and bringing in a player such as Miller would certainly help improve that that weakness.
If the Flames were to land Miller, he would immediately be their No. 1 left-shot defenseman and would land on their top defensive pair.
Miller is still very young as he is only 25-years old, which means he's capable to adapt to new situations if need be.
Just last season Miller managed to tally seven goals and a total of 27 points in 74 games, along with 107 hits and a total of 110 blocked shots.
